Mazola shared with us this delicious Garlicky Potato Packet recipe, made with potatoes, onions, salt & pepper, garlic and oil. This recipe is ultra low-maintenance, perfect for those who are deciding on a side dish for last-minute summer plans. Plus, you can use any leftovers for a lovely breakfast hash in the morning so nothing goes to waste!

Garlicky Potato Packet


● 4 large potatoes, cut into bite-size pieces (about 5 cups)
● 1 small onion, cut into thin wedges
● 2 tablespoons Mazola Canola Oil
● 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
● 1/2 teaspoon salt
● 1/4 teaspoon black fine grind pepper


1. Preheat grill to medium or oven to 450°F.

2. Spray foil with cooking spray.

3. Combine potatoes, onion, oil, garlic, salt and pepper in a bowl; toss to coat.

4. Spoon vegetables onto center of foil.

5. Bring up sides of foil and double fold.

6. Double fold ends to form a packet, leaving air space in pouch for heat circulation inside packet.

7. Grill on covered grill or bake on cookie sheet 25 to 30 minutes until potatoes are tender.
