Grilled Cheese Waffle with Fried Chicken

Ingredients:
- 8 waffles, thawed if frozen, or homemade
- 4 to 8 boneless fried chicken pieces (depending on size)
- 3 to 4 Armstrong MEGA Thick Marble Cheddar Cheese Slices
- 10 ml (2 tsp) of salted butter
- 5 ml (1 tsp) of honey
- 3 ml (1/2 tsp) of hot sauce
- One minced green onion
Directions:
1. Cook the chicken according to the package instructions.
2. Spread half of the waffles on the platter and add half the cheese on top. Cut the fried chicken into bite-size pieces and place them on top. Add the hot sauce and honey, to taste. Add the remaining cheese and finish by placing the other waffle on top.
3. In a cast-iron pan, add a knob of butter and let melt until the butter begins bubbling.
4. Add the sandwiches and cook for a few minutes until the waffles are crunchy and golden, then flip them. Cook for a few minutes on the other side, until all the cheese is melted, and the outside of the sandwiches is crunchy. Remove from the heat and let them rest for a minute. While the sandwiches rest, mix equal portions of hot sauce and honey and serve with the sandwiches.
