As someone who loves browsing archival imagery of Canada’s past, searching through the Vancouver Archives is a real treat. The website has so many amazing images dating back to the mid 19th century until now, it is easy to get lost, and drop a few hours of your day on there.
On my latest visit to the website, I was browsing images of cars. I found that there were so many amazing images that I wanted to share, that I decided to break up the images and make a series spanning 20 years at a time.
So, for this first gallery of old photographs of cars in Vancouver, I thought I would start at the turn of the 20th century and showcase images from the years 1900-1920. Enjoy!
