Vancouver Farmers Markets have a lot to offer. From fresh groceries to handmade goods and even food trucks, there is something for everyone. It is easy to see why buying food from local farmers’ markets has been growing in popularity. Produce is often fresher than what you’ll find in the supermarket and it is a great way to support your local community. It is also an environmentally friendly alternative to buying produce from the grocery store as food from local farmers doesn’t have to travel far. The Kitsilano Market is opening on May 1st, with over 50 vendors and food trucks on-site. Be sure to check it out! I also recommend making the trip to visit the Granville Island market this summer. It is Vancouver’s oldest and most established market with so much to offer from fresh fish to baked goods. Discover your local market!
