Natalie Ellis is a multi-hyphenate creative from Vancouver where she lives with her husband and pets. Natalie grew up in a Sikh neighbourhood in Abbotsford BC. She would describe her family as the Von Trapp’s from the Sound of Music, if they escaped to Canada. During her youth, she fortified her interest in the arts by learning to draw her favourite cartoon characters, play multiple instruments (including the guitar like her dad and brother), as well as sewing, acting and creative writing. When Natalie is not using one of her many creative outlets; she can be found browsing independent bookstores; as well as cafe hopping with her notepads in tow. She holds a Degree in Design from Emily Carr University of Art in Design; as well as a Diploma in Fashion from John Casablanca Institute located in historic Gastown.
Natalie hopes to be remembered as a pioneering visionary whose work became heralded as a new classic.

Which ’hood are you in?
Natalie has been living in Kitsilano for the last decade, with her husband and pets close to the beach. She is quite fond of her neighbourhood and loves the cafes, bookstores, consignment shops and green space. Moving to Vancouver has been a childhood dream of Natalie’s, and she feels incredibly lucky to call it home.
What do you do?
Natalie works as a personal fashion stylist for the Fashion Society and is currently accepting new clients online. She is a passionate artist at heart and designer by trade; who enjoys weaving her broad interests together into her work, which focuses on creating a dopamine hit with vivid colours and whimsical imagery. She also uses alter egos based on her favourite characters from children’s literature and film.
What are you currently working on?
Natalie is currently working on a coming-age romance. She is also a fan of children’s literature and plans to write and illustrate a book inspired by mythology. She is also creating an online boutique for girly stoner accessories.
