Sweet Chaos is the cutest little mobile ice cream trailer in all of BC’s interior. Based in the Merritt area, Sweet Chaos is kicking off its first summer serving premium ice cream, specialty floats, espresso-based treats, and fun desserts. Their goal is to offer more than just a sweet treat; they also provide a memorable community experience. We spoke to Savannah Davis, Founder and Owner of Sweet Chaos Ice Cream, to learn more.

What is your business called and what does it do?
Sweet Chaos Ice Cream is a mobile ice cream trailer serving premium ice cream, specialty floats, espresso-based treats, and fun desserts at community events, weddings, festivals, corporate functions, and private gatherings throughout BC’s interior.
What made you want to do this work?
I’ve always loved bringing people together and creating memorable experiences. Growing up, I worked in a small ice cream shop in a lake town, and those memories have always stuck with me; it was simple, joyful, and full of community. From the time I was about 13, I dreamed of having my own ice cream venture one day, and being able to bring that dream to life with Sweet Chaos has been incredibly meaningful. I also love that ice cream has a way of meeting people in a good mood and somehow making their day even better when they leave.
What problem did you want to solve with the business?
Sweet Chaos is more than just an ice cream trailer; it’s an experience. We wanted to create a space where people can slow down, have fun, and enjoy the moment together. Whether it’s a few games, good music, or a sweet treat in hand, the goal is to build an atmosphere that feels light, welcoming, and memorable. We wanted to bring that energy to the community in Merritt, as well as weddings, festivals, and events, where people aren’t just buying dessert; they’re sharing an experience.
Who are your clientele/demographics?
Our customers range from families and tourists to wedding guests, festival-goers, corporate teams, and anyone who enjoys a great dessert. We serve all ages and love being part of both small community events and large celebrations.
How does your business make money? How does it work?
We generate revenue through event bookings, weddings, festivals, corporate events, and daily ice cream sales. Customers can purchase individual treats at public events, or organizations and individuals can hire us to provide dessert service for their special occasions.
Where can we find you?
We travel throughout BC’s interior and regularly post our schedule on social media. During the summer, you’ll often find us at community events, festivals, markets, and private functions, as well as frequenting spots like Central Park in Merritt, BC and Monck Park right by the beautiful lake.

What is the best question a prospective customer could ask a member of your profession when comparing services? Give the answer as well.
Question: “How do you help make our event memorable beyond just serving dessert?”
Answer: The best mobile dessert vendors create an experience, not just a product. At Sweet Chaos, we focus on customer interaction, unique menu creations, fun presentation, and creating moments that guests will talk about long after the event is over.
What is the best part about what you do? What is the worst part?
The best part is seeing people’s reactions when they try one of our creations or when a child gets excited about choosing their favourite ice cream flavour. The worst part is the seasonality of the business; we’d love to serve you all year long. We’re actively exploring ways to evolve the menu and offerings so we can keep the trailer running more consistently throughout the year.
What is your favourite joke about your own profession?
People always ask me if I think I’ll ever get sick of ice cream or get bored of it… the answer will always be no. Ice cream is joy <3
