Tragedy Plus Time: Vancouver Comedian Ray Morrison

Ray Morrison is a Vancouver-based comedian who began his stand-up journey later in life, drawing inspiration from his father and childhood memories of watching Johnny Carson. His comedy blends observational wit with what he calls “seniors’ angst,” offering an uncomfortably comfortable lens on ageing, society, and everything in between.

Known for tailoring sets that land both on stage and on air—like his CBC Laugh Out Loud performance—Ray continues to share his voice at venues that champion local comedy, with a deep love for places like Hecklers in Victoria. He’s still alive, still performing, and still proudly making people laugh.
