How would you describe your comedy style?

I would say silly and kinda dark. My premises are usually surprising, and I prefer minimal set-up to get to a punchline.

Who are some of your influences?

When I was a kid I was obsessed with John Waters and Tim Burton movies which probably built my sense of humour.

Who was your favourite comedian growing up?

Buffy Summers with the one-liners.

Who is your favourite comedian now?

Doja Cat

What is your pre-show ritual?

I like to make a list of the jokes I’m going to perform while also going through my notebook wishing I had written more.

What is your favourite place you have performed? Why?

The old Little Mountain Gallery was a special venue. I recorded my album there and have a lot of fun memories from that place.

What is your favourite bit you have written and why were you proud of it?

All my masturbation jokes. Write what you know.

What is your favourite medium for listening or finding new comics/comedians?

Instagram reels or other comics telling me I gotta check someone out, and of course live shows.

Tell us a joke about your city.

Why did the Vancouverite cross the road? They didn’t, because they cancelled.

Do you have anything to promote right now?

I have an album called Bad Baby that’s on all platforms!!

Where can we follow you?

I am @randeenoodle on all platforms. Though I stopped using Twitter and I’m actively fighting a TikTok addiction so just find me on Instagram.

PAY IT FORWARD: Who is another local comic/comedian we should know about?

Look out for my bestie Gina Harms, Sean McDonnell, Greta Lin, and Carter Selinger
