Five Minutes With: Vancouver Indie Rock Band Salvador Dream

Born in the raw, expressive spirit of the 90s, Salvador Dream is a Vancouver-based alt-rock trio with unfinished business. With a sound that blends hard-edged riffs and genre-defying influences, the band is carving a new path in 2025, rekindling its cult following and reaching a new generation of rock fans.

Founded by Ray Garraway (drums – RIP), Toby Peter (bass), and Russ Klyne (guitar/vocals), Salvador Dream built its reputation through high-energy live shows and touring, both as headliners and in support of legendary Canadian alt-rock acts. Now, with a revitalized presence and new music on the horizon, Salvador Dream is poised for a comeback, bringing its fierce, uncompromising vision to audiences hungry for authenticity.

Favourite musician growing up:

Alex Lifeson. Rush was an incredible band, and their record Moving Pictures is a masterpiece. Lifeson’s riffs are killer.

Favourite musician now:

Lenny Breau, the Jazz guitarist. Chet Atkins called him the best guitarist in the world. He’s passed away, but I still think he’s the best. John McLaughlin is a very close second.

Fallen Angel – Robbie Robertson
