Five Minutes With: Vancouver-based Indie Singer/Songwriter Dylan Perkons

Hailing from Santa Maria, California, Dylan Perkons, a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist now based in Vancouver, constantly explores diverse musical realms. His contemplative and moody songwriting, influenced by The National, Big Thief, Neil Young, and John Prine, found recognition with the debut album “The Healing Day” in 2019. Engaging in prior projects like Mind That Bird and leading Wired to the Sky, Perkons collaborated with notable Canadian producers, including Colin Stewart, James Benjamin, David Vertesi, and Jonas Bonnetta.

Currently pursuing a music technology degree at Douglas College in Vancouver, Perkons released the single “Good News” on November 17, 2023. As he nears completion of his degree, he looks forward to the musical adventures that 2024 has in store.
