Cat Wells is a Canadian Blues artist, vocalist, song writer with ballsy vocals and expressive stage presence. Her near 4 octave voice has been compared to Susan Tedeschi, Beth Hart and Janis Joplin. Cat’s fondness of syncopation pulls her toward funky blues stylings with her love of life reflected in the whimsical lyrics of her songs.
Cat has been honoured as vocalist of the year twice by the Okanagan Arts Council and has been featured in Okanagan Life Magazine and Wild Life Magazine. Cat and her band have performed at numerous Blues Festivals including “White Rock Blues Festival” at Whiterock BC, “Rendezvous Blues Festival” at Oroville, Washington and “Beachs Blues Festival” at Toronto ON. Recently was invited to Memphis to perform at the Women in Blues Showcase during the International Blues Challenge.
Some of Cat’s career highlights include support for Jeff Healey, Harpdog Brown and ZZ Top amongst many others. Cat has released 4 CDs’ “Cathy-Ann Wells Live with the Bowman Trio”, “Bootleg Blues”, “Dem Crazy Blues” and on December 16, 2025 they released “Brand New Shoes” featuring artists Jason Buie, Johnny Ferreira (Colin James band) and the late Sonny Rhodes. The latest release is now receiving airplay on over 100 radio stations and is charting on both the Roots Music Report AND The Big Blues Charts. The band is currently working on their next release.
