Five Minutes With: R&B Musician Clare Twiddy

Clare Twiddy is a Vancouver-based artist who blends pop, rock, R&B and electronic music, personifying a dark heart with the soul of an optimist. A dynamic and heartfelt performer, she’s performed hundreds of shows across Canada and the US, including the Phillips Backyard Music Festival in 2025.

Clare’s debut album “NOPE” was released in 2023, showcasing grimy bass textures and dense vocal harmonies. The album received North American radio play and a sync placement with Volkswagen for the song “New Devastation”. She is set to release 9 singles in 2026 alongside her album “Midnight Witch”.

EP or LP?

If the music is good, it doesn’t matter.

Early bird or night owl?

Night Owl – sunrises are a treat, though.

Road or studio?

Studio. I love performing, but I’m secretly an introvert.

Any shows or albums coming up?

I’ll be releasing one song per month this year! My first single Slow It Down is out now with a super vibey music video. It’s an anthem for the overtired, overworked humans who need a holiday (or just a moment to chill out). Grab some tea and a blanket.
