Albert the dog is looking for a new home in the Vancouver area

Albert is a gentle giant in the making who is expected to grow into a very big boy, likely over 100 pounds. He is a quiet and easygoing pup who is usually only heard when he is happily playing with his toys. He especially loves anything with a squeaker!

He enjoys life’s simple pleasures like chasing butterflies, rolling in the grass, nibbling on flowers, and exploring new scents on his walks. He is not in a rush to get anywhere and is known to plop down mid walk just to take in his surroundings. While he enjoys getting out and about, he is equally content relaxing at home and spending time with his people.

Because of his livestock guardian breed traits, Albert is looking for a home with a large and securely fenced yard where he can safely and comfortably spend time outdoors. Sunbathing and leisurely outdoor time are some of his favourite activities.

Albert is an affectionate and cuddly puppy who thrives on companionship. He is very interested in other dogs and would likely enjoy living with a canine friend, given a proper introduction.

As he enters his cheeky puppy phase, Albert will need a patient and committed adopter who can guide him through teething, potty training, leash manners, and basic commands. The good news is that Albert loves food, which makes training both fun and effective.

If you are ready to welcome a loyal, lovable, and delightfully quirky companion into your life, Albert might be your perfect match.

Please note: We will only be reviewing applications from adopters with experience with, or a strong understanding of, livestock guardian breeds.
