Penny the cat is looking for a new lovely home in the Vancouver area

Pennsylvania, better known as Penny by shelter staff and volunteers, is a unique little character. Penny came into our care with a fever, dental pain and was unsure of our intentions. After seeking veterinarian care, Penny started feeling much better and realized she was in safe hands. Penny could be the poster kitty for #transformationtuesday. Now that Penny is feeling safe and pain-free, she has transformed from a fearful and shut-down cat to a purring machine who could sit and accept full body scratches until the end of time. Penny returns her appreciation for love with teeny-tiny biscuits, made with her front paws and a cute little mew. She may be a senior on paper but this gal is just getting started and can’t wait to enjoy the perks of retirement in her very own forever home. With a little patience and a lot of love, we know sweet Penny will be the lap cat everyone dreams of. Penny feels most confident perched on the top of her Hide, Perch & Go box and has discovered the box corners can also double as a chin-scratching device. This petite girl has spent time with other cat friends and we believe with slow introductions, she would enjoy other, calm cat companions in her forever home. If you have a spot on your couch and heart for Miss Pennsylvania, submit an application today.
