Finnegan the cat is looking for a new home in the Vancouver area

Meet Finnegan! Here are some notes from our wonderful volunteer foster. He is the sweetest cat you’ll meet and is cute enough to have walked straight out of a Beatrix Potter story! After having had a bad start in life, sweet Finnegan is now searching for his furrever family to provide all the love, cuddles and affection ❤️

Finn loves being by your side, snuggling on your lap and being curious about the world around him! He adores playtime and would love his new family to offer dedicated playtime a few times a day to help him stay active. With a wonderfully sweet temperament, Finn would be great with children; however, would need patience and reassurance settling in, as he’s a little bit of a scaredy cat with new/ sudden sounds! Could you offer your home to dear Finn? He promises to always be there to listen to your day, and provide the most loving snuggles by your side.

We think he would ideally like a home to explore as I think he’s finding our little flat a bit too small. Perhaps even an enclosed garden with monitoring as he is very curious!

His favourite food is dry kibbles and a bowl of wet food (whitefish pate is his fave!). About his favourite games, he loves moving a toy under a blanket to catch, a cat wand, and hiding toys around corners for pouncing, but didn’t enjoy playing with a laser pointer.

He is quite a vocal kitty when we are in another room he can’t get into, as well as when we shut the door and he wants in. Potential owners should be aware that he cries a LOT when this happens. This is him trying to go to that room, and he does eventually stop. We are trying to train this behaviour out via distraction with toys, and he is getting better each day; however, possible owners should be aware of this.
