The Vancity Original Brand is a premiere all-city men’s and women’s streetwear brand for all ages. Recently, we spoke with Owner Jeff Martin to learn more about what they do.
What is your business called and what does it do?
The Vancity Original® Brand. Vancouver’s premiere all-city men’s and women’s streetwear brand was established in 1998
What made you want to do this work?
My love for the great city of Vancouver and my love for clothing led me to create the original Vancouver-centric clothing brand for Vancouverites as well as people the world over.
What problem did you want to solve with the business?
We are not directly solving any problems but we do aim to promote the city and help maintain awareness through our apparel and accessories.
Who are your clientele/demographics?
We appeal to all age groups and our target audiences are both locals and visitors who want to represent Vancouver.
How does your business make money? How does it work?
We sell our product at our downtown retail outlet and online, as well as at a few select retail partner stores.
Where in the city can we find your profession?
Dipt® Kicks aka The Vancity Store at 819 Hornby Street downtown and online.
What is the best question a prospective customer could ask a member of your profession when comparing services? Give the answer as well.

What is the best part about what you do? What is the worst part?
The best part is connecting with customers and seeing people wearing our products. There are no bad parts we keep a positive outlook at all times!
What is your favourite joke about your own profession?
The biggest joke is that some people actually think that when they buy something that 100% of the purchase price is profit. (I wish!)
