Ken Waters Fitness

What is your business called and what does it do?

Ken Waters Fitness is an Online/Virtual Personal Training and Nutrition Coaching service. In many ways, it works the same as in-person Personal Training and Nutrition Coaching, just this time it is done via phone or computer and can be done anywhere you are! The online approach creates a convenient, safe, personal, and time-saving coaching experience.

What made you want to do this work?

I worked in a hospital previously and day after day would see firsthand what happens when we do not prioritize our health. It brought me to ask myself “is there a way to prevent this, and if so what is it?”. The answer ended up being that the best form of prevention is by making health and fitness a priority in our lives. The problem? There were many challenges, misinformation, and habits standing in the way. Wanting to be on the combating side led me on the path to becoming a Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach. I found this would be the best way I could help people and change lives. I wanted to make it an Online experience because I saw it as an opportunity for me to reach and help more people improve their health.

What problem did you want to solve with the business?

I wanted to be able to help, educate, and provide a service to those looking for an extra resource when it came to improving their fitness and nutrition health goals no matter their skill or fitness level. I also wanted to create a coaching experience that would save time, be more convenient, and comfortable, and be able to reach more people. Just because one person lives in Toronto for example does not mean I should not be able to help them over here in Vancouver.

Who are your clientele/demographics?

I am lucky enough to get to work with a wide range of different people from all walks of life. I always like to say “we all can improve and work on our health goals”. Being online has allowed me to also work with people all over the Greater Vancouver Area, B.C., Canada and the U.S.

How does your business make money? How does it work?

Interested newcomers can get in touch to book a free consultation at my website.

They can choose between signing up for Personal Training or Nutrition Coaching and purchasing Custom-made Self-Follow Workout Plans, and Self-Follow Nutrition Guides.

Where in Vancouver can we find your profession?

Thanks to the online nature of my business you can find me anywhere in the Greater Vancouver Area by going to my website or social media handles.

What is the best question a prospective customer could ask a member of your profession when comparing services? Give the answer as well.

Q. What sets you apart from any other trainer or gym?

A. I would say one of the biggest differences is the experience you get with Ken Waters Fitness. I want to learn your story, build a foundation of trust, and then together as a team, we can accomplish your health goals through a fun, comfortable, motivational, professional, and safe experience.

What is the best part about what you do? What is the worst part?

The best part is that I get to connect with so many people, hear amazing stories, learn life lessons, and help people achieve their goals. The worst part is the early mornings, there is not enough coffee in the world that has prepared me for them.

What is your favourite joke about your own profession?

“I’m gonna lose weight. I’m gonna lift and exercise every day. I’m gonna go on a diet and stick to it… Is that cake?”

What are your social media channels?

PAY IT FORWARD: What is another Vancouver business that you love?

Say Hello Sweets, they make really great 100% plant-based/dairy-free ice cream and ice cream sandwiches! I highly recommend them when using moderation.
