Which ’hood are you in?

I live in North Vancouver, BC, with my family.

What do you do?

Mainly I read books, walk my dog, and drink tea, but if you’re talking about how I pay the bills I work as a freelance editor, writer, and voice-over actor. My editing work is mainly through The Self Publishing Agency and my voice work lately is doing described videos for the visually impaired on projects for Netflix, Showtime, and Hallmark. I have run my own production company since 1997.

What are you currently working on?

I’m editing several manuscripts for various clients and I’m at the very very initial stages of a new project, a novel, which will definitely be more cheerful that my current book.

Where can we find your work?

My memoir/fiction hybrid book “Holden After and Before” will be released with Arsenal Pulp Press on September 27th with Penguin Random House Audio Books on the same day. One of my non-fiction essays entitled “Short Term” is in the current issue of Geist Magazine, another essay which is a version of a chapter in my book is in Room Magazine. Another is in The Tyee, and my website has a bunch of older essays on travel and grief.
