Synthia Yusuf is a Vancouver-based performing artist, working as an actor and vocalist all over Canada. Her enthusiasm for storytelling began at a very young age, and she decided to pursue professional training in acting, singing, and dancing right after graduating high school. She trained at Capilano University, earning a diploma in musical theatre in 2013. Since then, she has worked in a multitude of different performance arenas, from television to regional theatre all over the country. Synthia’s versatility and passion for the work have earned her a reputation as an actor who can do it all, with a resume of works ranging from musicals to Shakespeare. Most notably, Synthia was a part of the original Canadian cast of the West End and Broadway play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, which made its debut in Toronto with Mirvish Productions in 2022. She was also Canada’s first Anna in the Canadian premiere of Disney’s Frozen at Neptune Theatre in Halifax in 2024, a role she reprised in Vancouver with the Arts Club Theatre Company this past winter 2025. When she isn’t on stage, Synthia is an avid reader, a foodie, and a devoted dog mom. She spends most mornings walking the beautiful local trails to be found all over the Lower Mainland with her beloved puppy, Kingsley.
