“A Day in the Life” with Multidisciplinary Performer Frankie Cottrell

Frankie Cottrell is a multidisciplinary performer, born and raised in Gibsons, B.C. He is Indigenous from the Talhtan Nation and his Indigenous name is Wākinādā, which means “walks on the clouds”.

He studied Musical Theatre at Capilano University, graduating in 2015. Franke’s talents such as tap dancing, guitar playing, acting, and singing, have led him to perform across stages in Western Canada, as well as grace the screens for Film and Television.

A lover of all things caffeine and animals of all sorts – Frankie is the human equivalent to that of a golden retriever – fun-loving, loyal, and always full of energy. When not on stage, Frankie can be found at the gym – a long-time lover of powerlifting, health, and wellness.

Frankie’s talents in performing are borne out of the desire to tell stories and share them with the world. He is a fantastic part of any team, growing up in a large family with 3 siblings, he is used to being able to collaborate with various kinds of people from a young age. Frankie has the ability to create well-rounded characters, bringing them to life with heart and integrity. In addition to being one of the hardest-working people you will meet, Frankie is ambitious, passionate, generous and open.

Catch Frankie next in the cast of ‘50 Cent Lemonade’ as Danny as part of an immersive theatre experience presented by ITSAZOO & Aphotic Theatre, running October 11-22 at Kafka’s Coffe Roasting & Bakery on 577 Great Northern Way!
