Adam Grant Warren is an incredibly talented artist with a heart of gold, an impressive CV, and an absolutely terrible sense of direction. He holds an MFA in Creative Writing from UBC and works across theatre, dance, film, and literature. He’s a newly appointed Artistic Associate with Realwheels Theatre and has been a member of All Bodies Dance Project since 2014.
Adam hails from Newfoundland, a place that has shaped him with both its culture and its lack of wheelchair accessibility. He’s not a “Newfie” or a “Newf”, and his accent only comes out when he’s excited, tipsy, or both. He moved to so-called Vancouver almost twenty years ago to attend Vancouver Film School and stayed to build a life and an artistic community on the West Coast.
Adam has performed on screen, in theatres big and small, on CBC Radio, in Disney World, in multiple parking lots, and on one extremely hot rooftop during a heat dome. He lives with his delightful wife Saleshni, whom he both met and married at the Vancouver Public Library. He loves Dungeons & Dragons, and he works much too hard.

Which ’hood are you in?
I live in Burnaby and work in any number of Vancouver dance or theatre spaces.
What do you do?
I’m a writer-performer. These days mostly theatre, movement, and prose. But I’m happy to head back to film for the right project with the right team!
What are you currently working on?
I’m currently on commission for a new play with Realwheels Theatre, and a new movement piece for the Chutzpah! Festival. In 2024, I’ll be joining The Scotiabank Dance Centre as Artist-in-Residence. So, starting to think about that piece too.
Where can we find your work?
Follow @allbodiesdance, @thedancecentrebc, and @realwheelstheatre on Instagram! Personally, I’m a little allergic to social media, but you can always say hello on my website.
