Keith Nahanee is a comedian who tells it like it is. With a sharp wit and an unfiltered perspective, he has a natural ability to find the humour in everyday life and turn it into something the whole room can laugh at together. Whether he’s working a small club or commanding a massive festival stage, Keith has a presence that feels both genuine and effortless. He’s the kind of comic who doesn’t need flashy gimmicks — just a microphone, an honest voice, and an audience ready to have a good time.

How would you describe your comedy style?
Straight to the point of on and off reserve life. Also, fact-based comedy.
Who are some of your influences?
George Carlin, Robin Williams, Jim Jeffries, Bill Burr, Jimmy Carr and Russell Peters.
Who was your favourite comedian growing up?
At first, it was Robin Williams
Who is your favourite comedian now?
Bill Burr and Jimmy Carr
What is your pre-show ritual?
A good meal, listen to Metallica
What is your favourite place you have performed? Why?
I hosted The Great Outdoors Comedy Festival featuring Russell Peters. It was amazing in front of 7,500 people. Russell Peters is a super nice guy.
What is your favourite bit you have written and why were you proud of it?
The importance of a Sears catalogue. I get to interact with the audience and ask them what they grew up with and that isn’t around anymore. Then I get to say the importance of Sears catalogue and why. It gets a lot of laughs.
What is your favourite medium for listening or finding new comics/comedians?
Locally, just going to shows as an audience member. I really don’t search pro comics on the internet.
Tell us a joke about your city.
In our language 😉 instead of calling it Vancouver, we call it Raincouver or Vanstruction.
Do you have anything to promote right now?
Come and check out my monthly show, Rez Comedy, mainly playing at the Underground Comedy Club.
Where can we follow you?
PAY IT FORWARD: Who is another local comic/comedian we should know about?
Janelle Niles from Ottawa or Nelson Meyer from Winnipeg.
