Vancouver-based singer-songwriter Rebecca Sichon (pronounced SEA-shon) delivers a compelling fusion of R&B, soul, and jazz, led by a voice that radiates depth, control, and emotional honesty. Drawing inspiration from artists like Yebba and Amy Winehouse, her music explores vulnerability, empathy, and the human experience with intention and warmth.
With her release, “Nothing” (February 2026), Rebecca Sichon delivers a soulful, contemporary Jazz reflection on empathy, privilege, and human connection. Written in 2022, the song was inspired by a moment that lingered long after it passed: driving by a man asking for change and realizing she had nothing to give but a smile. The experience left her overwhelmed by the imbalance between her own life and the reality faced by so many others, prompting a deeper questioning of morality and responsibility. “Nothing” sits with that discomfort rather than offering easy answers, inviting listeners to feel, reflect, and stay present with the world around them. “I wrote this song from a place of guilt, sadness, and compassion,” Sichon shares. “It’s a reminder to stay human, to notice the people in front of us, and to never become numb.”
A dynamic and seasoned live performer, Sichon has played over 250 stages across Canada and the U.S., including Winnipeg Folk Festival, Salmon Arm Roots & Blues, and Nest Fest in Kelowna, where she opened for Ruby Waters. She has performed at 34 Sofar Sounds shows worldwide and delivered a standout performance of her song “Stay” at Toronto’s TD Music Hall for Honey Jam, which aired nationally on CBC Music. In 2025, she showcased at NXNE and performed at Massey Hall as part of Honey Jam’s 30th anniversary celebration.
Offstage, Sichon continues to build strong momentum within the industry. She completed Music BC’s ARC Program in October 2025, joined the Silver Side Productions roster for sync licensing, and signed with Nettwerk Music Group for distribution. Her music has been widely featured on CBC Radio stations across Canada, as well as on Apple Music’s Soul Revival editorial playlist and Pandora’s Rhythm and Brew playlist, helping her reach new audiences globally. With press support from EARMILK and over 400,000 streams across platforms, Rebecca Sichon is steadily establishing herself as a compelling and authentic voice in Canada’s modern soul landscape.
