Fluid, expressive, and rooted in the moment, Randy J approaches comedy like a jazz set, blending sharp preparation with spontaneous, organized chaos. Drawing inspiration from family, lived experience, and legendary stand-ups, his storytelling finds humour in authenticity, connection, and the magic of what happens live onstage.

How would you describe your comedy style?
I would describe my comedy style as a Jazz concert. A mix of well-prepared material and organized chaos. I pride myself on finding the magic of the moment.

My dad, José Jernidier, is an actor, writer, and director. He introduced me to the world of theatre and performing.
Maryse Condé, who was a well-known author, influenced and encouraged me to write.
Dave Chappelle, Kevin Hart and Katt Williams are huge influences for me as well

My Disneyland bit, I’m proud of it because it comes from a cherished experience with my son. Plus, it was my first bit to be featured on Comedy Here Often.
