Five Minutes With: Techno Solo Act The Bifurcated

The Bifurcated is an electronic metal Solo Act based in New Westminster, British Columbia. Consisting solely of drummer, music producer, and sound designer Danny Hubert, The Bifurcated brings a show you’ve truly never seen or heard before.

The Bifurcated was founded in 2021 during the Covid 19 pandemic by Danny Hubert and Timothy Kingston. The main objective would be to reunite and strengthen communities in a post-pandemic world. To achieve this, they would blend elements of Industrial, Electronic, and extreme metal music genres, forging a new path through the power of aggressive sounds.

While concocting a new sound, an esthetic was also born. Deciding to bring a new element to local shows, the individuals designed their own cybernetic helmets, stage props, light shows, and visual fx. Building interactive lighting rigs and designing light shows, The Bifurcated strived to create a show that would leave audiences in shock.

In 2025, Timothy left the band 3 weeks prior to The Bifurcated’s first tour. Danny was then pushed to begin writing new material, forcing The Bifurcated into a new era of sound. Over the course of the spring tour, Danny experimented with looping live at shows between songs in Reaper. This method enabled him to perform live while also creating ideas for new songs and remixes of the original material. Between tour runs, Danny began experimenting with sound design using unconventional recording methods.

Throughout summer 2025, Danny wrote and released singles to later be released on the EP “Lemonade” in October 2025. In the fall, Danny embarked on The Bifurcated second tour, widening their reach into Alberta. In 2026, The Bifurcated will be touring Canada coast to coast from April through to late July. Stay tuned for dates in a community near you.
