Cold Fame is an electronic indie pop band from Canada. Formed in 2021, it is made up of Damian Anthony and Cody Dalman. What began as a collaborative recording project to fill the void during the pandemic, suddenly transformed into something more when the third and final band member, Jodi Pederson joined the band in 2022.
The trio blends rhythmic nostalgia with cathartic melodies and vibrant guitar hooks, creating a transformative listening experience. Their debut album is set to be released in early 2023.

Favourite musician growing up:
Coheed and Cambria
Favourite musician now:
Don Broco for rock, Mothica for pop.
Guilty pleasure song:
Anything by 50 Cent. I don’t think I’ve ever admitted that publicly, but at least once a year I’ll revisit Get Rich or Die Tryin’…
Live show ritual:
About a half hour or so before our set, I will go backstage, usually by myself, with my guitar and headphones. I’ll play through the entire set, beginning to end, so that it’s as fresh in my mind as can possibly be.
Favourite local musician:
I think my favourite local musician or band, is whoever I’ve seen live most recently. As of writing this interview, Shale was the last band I saw live and they blew me away!
EP or LP?
EPs or singles seem to be the trend these days, but there’s nothing like putting together a dozen (or more) of your best tracks on one big piece of work.
Early bird or night owl?
Definitely a night owl. Most of the Cold Fame songs were written, or worked on, between midnight and 3 am.
Road or studio?
This one’s tough. Deep down I’m a performer at heart. I love putting on a good show and seeing/feeling that energy back from the crowd, so road.
Any shows or albums coming up?

Favourite local restaurant:
Garricks Head Pub (or Il Terazzo if I want something a little fancier)
Favourite street in your city:
Johnson St, especially Lower Johnson, because some of the best clothing shops in downtown Victoria are here. Flavour is my favourite clothing store, and Baggins Shoes is definitely my favourite sneaker store.
Favourite park in your city:
Royal Athletic Park, specifically when they host the Rifflandia music festival there.
Favourite music venue in your city:
This one is a tossup and it comes down to size. Lucky Bar is my favourite for a smaller more intimate experience, however for a larger capacity venue, you can’t beat Capital Ballroom.
Favourite music store in your city:
If we’re going strictly on money spent over my entire life since I started playing music – then Long & McQuade in Victoria easily takes that cake. The staff there are also really great, so that helps!
