Duke Kaboom the dog is looking for a new home in the Vancouver area

Duke Kaboom is a goofy Great Pyrenees/Komondor mix ready to bounce into his forever home! Duke spent most of his life as an outside dog on a large rural property, but he has been making great progress adjusting to a busier environment. He would love a home with a safe outdoor space where he can relax and soak up the sun. When Duke first came into our care, his coarse Komondor coat was extremely matted and he needed to be shaved down. Potential adopters should be aware of the specific grooming needs of Komondors, as his thick and curly hair will need consistent maintenance as it grows back in. Duke gets along well with other dogs and lived with children in his previous home. As a former outside dog, Duke will need some work on housetraining and commands, but his manners are improving quickly and has made great progress with leashed walks as well. We are confident that as Duke gains more confidence in the city he will show off more of his silly and playful personality, and will bring love and laughter into his forever family.
