Athena is a sweet, affectionate girl looking for her furever home. She is equal parts cuddle bug and adventure buddy, with lots of energy and love to give. True to her sensitive pittie nature, she is not a fan of the rain but absolutely loves being close to her people.
Athena recently raised a litter of puppies, and now that her mom’s duties are done, she is ready to find a home of her very own. She adores affection, happily gives kisses, and enjoys being involved in everything her people are doing. She can get a bit excited and is still working on her manners, such as not jumping up, so she will thrive with an adopter who is keen to continue her training.
From her previous owners, we know Athena is crate-trained and generally settles well, though she can be vocal at times. Athena did live with another dog; however, after an introduction, we do feel she would be best as the only animal in the home moving forward. She may be dog selective and will need thoughtful introductions. Athena can also be a little nervous in the car and would benefit from gradual, positive experiences to help build her confidence.
Athena does have a chicken allergy and a history of ear infections, which will need ongoing management in her new home. With the right care, patience, and love, Athena will be a deeply loyal and affectionate companion who simply wants to be close to her people.
