Meet Jalapeño! This beautiful mama came into our care from a home with multiple cats, arriving with her litter of kittens. From the start, Jalapeño was an attentive and protective mother, always putting her babies first. Now that all her kittens have found loving homes, it’s her turn to start a new chapter.
Jalapeño has made great progress in our care-she’s learning to trust, to be touched, and to open up to people. She still has some mountains to climb, but with the right home filled with patience, consistency, and a calm routine, we know she’ll continue to blossom.
She’s looking for a quiet, stable environment with plenty of sunny windows for bird-watching, one of her favourite pastimes. Another friendly cat in the home could help her continue building trust in humans.
Jalapeño truly wants attention and connection, and while she’s still figuring out how to accept pets, her curiosity and treat motivation show she’s on the right path. She’s a quiet, clean, gentle soul who isn’t vocal but speaks volumes with her expressive eyes.
Please inquire with the BC SPCA Vancouver Centre for next steps on meeting Jalapeño. She is currently in foster care, as the shelter environment was not suitable for her needs.
If you believe in second chances and have the heart and home to help this shy sweetheart thrive, Jalapeño might just be your perfect match.
