Oksana Maslechko is a contemporary dance artist whose roots formed in Nelson, British Columbia. At twelve years of age, Oksana’s love for dance began to bloom. Her dance journey originated at DanceFusion, where she was exposed to several dance styles.
After several years at DanceFusion, Oksana’s quest for personal development moved her to Vancouver in 2016, where she commenced her studies at Lamondance. Oksana worked assiduously on perfecting her technique and honing her craft. Oksana currently holds titles as a company member and of faculty at Lamondance.
Oksana received her 200 Hour and Restorative Yoga Teacher Training certificates in 2019. She went on to work with multiple local yoga businesses and currently teaches at Lamondance. Oksana was recently an understudy of Rachel Meyer in the Vancouver Opera titled Orfeo ed Euridice, choreographed by Idan Cohen.
Despite the pressure Covid has placed on the arts, Oksana has been making every effort to achieve her goals. She is looking forward to the exciting projects planned in 2022 as she prepares for another busy year teeming with dance.
