Cisco the dog is looking for a new home in the Vancouver area

Cisco came to the shelter when the guardian was no longer able to care for him. He is very sweet with people and would do best in a home with an experienced dog person. Cisco is hesitant around new people, but once he gets comfortable with you he bonds very strongly and never wants to leave your side!

Cisco is nervous around young children and has a high prey drive so cannot be housed with cats. He needs to be the only animal in the home and really enjoys his walks. He is also dog reactive, so his guardians will need to be willing to help him with desensitization training and to avoid high dog-traffic areas when it comes to walks and playtime.

Now that Cisco is in his golden years, he doesn’t require as much exercise as he used to, but he loves to solve food puzzles to work his big shepherd brain!
