What is your business called and what does it do?
Our business is called Mint Cleaning. We create eco-friendly, plant-based cleaning products that actually work, smell amazing, and look beautiful on your counter.
What made you want to do this work?
We started as professional cleaners who were constantly exposed to harsh chemicals that made us sick. We wanted something safe, natural, and effective, and when we couldn’t find it, we made it ourselves.
What problem did you want to solve with the business?
We wanted to prove that cleaning products can be good for you, good for the planet, and still powerful. We also wanted to make cleaning feel less like a chore and more like something people enjoy.
Who are your clientele/demographics?
Mostly women aged 30–60 who care about their health, home, and family. Many are moms who love a clean, cozy space and are willing to pay for quality, eco-friendly products that align with their values.
How does your business make money? How does it work?
We sell our products online through our Shopify store, in over 350 retail locations across Canada, and through our flagship store and production space in Ucluelet, BC. We also have a commercial program for hotels, BnB’s, businesses and cleaning companies.

Question: Are your products truly eco-friendly and safe for people and pets?
Answer: Yes! Every ingredient we use is plant-based, biodegradable, and scented only with pure essential oils. We’ve formulated and tested these products ourselves, because we wouldn’t sell anything we wouldn’t use in our own homes.
What is the best part about what you do? What is the worst part?
The best part is seeing how our products inspire people to fall in love with cleaning again. We’ve built an amazing community that cheers us on daily. The hardest part is juggling growth, running a fast-scaling business, while still being moms and trying to have a life.

I used to be addicted to soap… but I’m clean now
