Onyx the dog is looking for a new home in the Vancouver area

Meet Onyx, a spunky 6-month-old ready to bounce into your home! Onyx is the epitome of a lap dog, and will use her excellent jumping skills to leap into you arms and pepper your face with puppy kisses. She loves to be stroked and held, but her manners definitely need some work before she reaches her full “good girl” potential. Onyx has room for improvement with her leash manners, as she tends to dart around and try to zoom off when she sees or smells something interesting. She is quite nervous of other dogs, and will need some help building her confidence before she is ready for a canine companion. However, she is eager to please her people and loves treats, which has been making training much easier!

While Onyx is sweet and petite, she has quite a loud voice, and may not be well suited for apartment buildings with thin walls. She settles down when she is home alone, but if she knows that you’re nearby and not paying attention to her she will let you know how displeased she is! Onyx is fully housetrained, but as she is still a puppy she needs to be taken out frequently to prevent accidents.
