We recently spoke with Garret Louie (GMAN) of Vancouver business FBOMB Trading Inc. to find out more about their company that exclusively distributes various clothing brands across Canada.
What is your business called and what does it do?
FBOMB Trading Inc and we are the exclusive Canadian distributors for brands such as TAIKAN, Lusso Cloud, OBEY, Haan Ready, Dr.Denim, Minimum, Topo Designs & more.
What made you want to do this work?
My father was in the fashion industry as a sales rep and I wanted to get into the back end side of it. The importation of the goods.
What problem did you want to solve with the business?
I was really just looking to bring some products that I liked & saw globally and introduce them to the Canadian market.
Who are your clientele/demographics?
I would say that anybody can wear or use the products that we bring in. We want to be inclusive.
How does your business make money? How does it work?
We basically import product from wherever it’s from and deal with 800+ retail shops from the West Coast to the Maritimes. Shops pay for the product. We’re responsible for building the brands as they are often in their infant stages. We are in charge of finding the brands, building the brand, sales, marketing, shipping and logistics.
Where in Vancouver can we find your profession?
Our warehouse is in Burnaby, but we sell all across Canada.
What is the best question a prospective customer could ask a member of your profession when comparing services?

What is the best part about what you do? What is the worst part?
The best part is that we deal with such amazing people from the staff and owners of each brand to the great retail shops across Canada.
The worst part has probably been this pandemic and trying to navigate stores being locked down, shipments & logistics as well as accounts receivable.
What is your favourite joke about your own profession?
I won’t tell a joke, but how about a quote? “you can be the ripest most juiciest peach in the world and somebody might just not like peaches”
