The city of Vancouver has a worldwide reputation for being one of the best cities to live in. The seaport in British Columbia has breathtaking nature and scenery at every turn. There are activities galore to be enjoyed inside and outside the city. Residents and visitors have the best of all worlds with beaches overlooked by mountains and the ability to live life at a slow or fast pace. These luxuries are not all that Vancouverites can be proud of. There is also a plethora of celebrities who hail from the west coast city. Here is a reminder of a few of Vancouver’s favourite sons and daughters.

It is impossible to rank these celebrities because they have all made such an incredible name for themselves performing their craft, but we begin with Ryan Reynolds. The man is currently getting more movie and sporting action. It is by no luck that Wrexham A.F.C, the Welsh football team that Reynolds and Rob McElhenney acquired in February 2021, are fighting for a consecutive automatic promotion. The Hollywood duo have won the hearts of locals in Wrexham and fans from across the world, and have a documentary dedicated to their journey on Disney. This has led to many sports fan looking at the latest sports betting markets at Cloudbet – with Wrexham being heavily support each season since the takeover.

However, football is a very new project in Reynolds’ portfolio. Movie fans will have seen him on the big screen for decades, with the most noteworthy role being Deadpool. The movies, based on Marvel comics, continue to thrill, horrify, and entertain in incredible measure. Reynolds is not going anywhere fast.

A shift into the music industry takes us to another of Vancouver’s sweethearts, Michael Bublé, also known as Mr. Christmas, such is the regularity that his songs are played during the festive period. The singer of hits such as “Cry me a River”, “Home” and “Haven’t Met You Yet” has five Grammy Awards to his name and is still recognised as having one of the smoothest voices in the industry.

Another final change of pace takes us into the world of comedy and another Vancouver native who is regularly spotted whenever he returns to the homeland is Seth Rogen. The filmmaker, actor, and comedian is renowned for titles such as Knocked Up, Pineapple Express and Superbad, usually in collaboration with good friends Jonah Hill and James Franco. Keep your eyes peeled this December for Rogen’s next big appearance in Mufasa: The Lion King.

There are plenty of other names to mention such as Cobie Smulders, Bryan Adams and Pamela Anderson, which is a reminder that Vancouver offers the world incredible talent as well as a magnificent city.
