Meet Precious! This large lady was brought to the SPCA when her owner was no longer able to care for her.
Precious can be timid at first, but once she’s comfortable, she will fill your home with her personality. Her foster says that she is still quite shy but becoming more adventurous by the day. A quieter home with a patient new guardian would suit her best. Precious loves her scratching post and watching the birds through the window. She knows how to sit, roll over, and say “please” for her meals. She also loves to be brushed, and telling her “I’ll brush you” will make her come right up to you.
At her previous home, Precious had access to a cat-proofed balcony and would likely enjoy spending time in a catio in her new home too. She is toilet-trained, but uses a normal litterbox as well.
Precious is currently on a weight loss journey and needs a home that will continue to work on this with her. She will need an attentive family who will carefully monitor her calorie intake and make sure she gets enough exercise to shed some pounds.
Precious is not fond of sharing her space with other cats, so she will need a home where she is the only cat.
Due to Precious being shy and sensitive, a family with no young children would be best.
Do you think you could be Precious’s person? As Precious is in a foster home, visits with her are by appointment only. Please submit an application online, and we will be in touch with the first suitable applicant to set up a meet and greet.
